According to Roblyer (2016), social networking tools enable teachers to provide students with opportunities to collaborate with other students and experts in the field to enrich the classroom experience. Tools such as blogs and social networking sites can be used to broaden the walls of the classroom and engage students in new and novel ways.
This page includes a collection of three social media enriched lessons and activities that provide students and teachers with opportunities to capitalize on the unique connecting powers of the internet. These activities have been created to align with a third grade unit on Weather and Climate. Standards Addressed:
