She also provides practical tips and ideas for connecting young learners. How to Use Blogs: Grades 3-5 Scholastic has put together a nice teacher resource on kicking off student blogs. The article provides teachers with some basic lesson ideas around digital citizenship and the general blogging platform. They even include generic blogging rubrics for students. |

The site provides educators with a wealth of ELA materials, lessons, and content to utilize in the classroom. The site requires a registration, but it is free to use. It is a great source for accessing text passages to correspond to content-area instruction. |

Common Sense Education: NGSS Explorer This newly launched division of the Common Sense Media company provides teachers with a curated collection of NGSS apps and resources to use in the classroom. Teachers can search by standard or grade level. All of the resources are aligned to standards and tagged with the specific Performance Expectation. |
