Relative Advantage Chart
The Relative Advantage Chart is a tool developed by Everett Rogers to support teachers in effective educational technology integration. The first step in the Technology Integration Planning Model , the Relative Advantage Chart walks teachers through the thought process involved in selecting appropriate educational technology tools for the classroom. First, teachers must identify the learning problems that technology can help address. Next, teachers identify the potential technology solutions available to solve the problem. Then, teachers identify the relative advantage of utilizing the technology solution over a low-tech or no-tech solution. Finally, teachers identify the expected outcome in the learning process.
